Well what a wet pink day in Balranald ! With steady drizzle all day the games started with our little 13B team going down in a close one by just two goals. The girls played well in terrible wet conditions , Pink Day towel award went to Ella Stacey and everyone else did well.
Colleen’s U13 girls scored a comfortable win 26-3 with Georgia Ingram and Kelsey Rowe contributing well and Teagan Devereux winning the towel award.
In a game which saw everyone have a swap around and play fairly well in the conditions the U15’s scored a 55 -1 win. Nikita Devereux receiving the towel award.
U17’s had a close one snatching the lead at the end to win by just one goal with Matika playing well in the centre and Jacqui great in defence along with Caitlyn Wattie who played hard when the game was in the balance. Towel award to Jacqui Rivett.
B Reserve had a close one 31-28 with Megan Callus winning the towel award and Katie Cox playing her first game for the season . Well done girls back on top of the ladder!!!
58-21 was the score for B Grade with the girls playing well in the wet, Ash strong in defence and Megan Coburn winning the towel award. Good job girls!
Emma’s A grade girls started well and seemed to adapt to the wet quite well. Emma and Louie played bigger than they are in defence and sent the ball back to the goals on numerous occasions. Centre court of Leah , Libby and Teagan played steady in the rain and Georgia and Georgie were steady in goals. A great team effort in very wet conditions to win 55-27.
Stack of the day went to Georgie Jeans , who thought for a moment she was superman, lucky the landing was wet!
This week we meet the Demons , wins all round needed to cement our places for the season
