Netball report Saturday 8th May
Well round 5 saw us come home from Cohuna with 5 wins and a loss played in great weather.
The Under 13’s girls had a close game going down by just two to a more determined Cohuna team, 28 to 30. Sarah Alvino, Teagan Devereux and Bec Falk worked hard all day. Lots of practice with your passing girls will be needed for the tough game against Swan Hill this week.
Another strong win to the Under 15’s saw some strong holding by Tayla in the ring with the defence of Maddy, Bree and Emily not letting much get past them. Best were Emily Cook and Bree Howard. Scores 45 to 24.
Our 17’s chalked up another big score with everyone rotating well, 77 to 16.Best players Jessi Templeton and Jackie Rivett.
No.1 fan P.K. was ecstatic with the 46-20 win by Sarah’s girls who are riding on the wave of confidence at the moment. Another fantastic effort girls , strong game from Claire Adams, Karina McKenzie, Lauren Sharp and Grace Templeton but overall a great team effort. Tough game this week but I’m sure you can do it!
B Grade also recorded a strong win 51 to 36 with Megan Howard best, but a great team effort once again. Hope the ankle is feeling better Megan.
The A Grade girls recorded a good win after a slowish start they revved up the pace in the second and third quarters and recorded a comfortable 64 to 17 win with great defence from Jemma Clarke and Louisa Frost and a good team effort all round.
It will tough games for all grades as is always the case when we play Swan Hill so let’s work hard and come home with the wins girls.
