2018 LIFE MEMBER AWARD
Congratulations to our 2018 Life Member recipient - Ray McGrath.
In 1994 Ray was asked to take on the role of Santa Claus at our annual Xmas party. Ray took to this role like a duck to water and enjoyed himself so much he continued for the next 8 years.
In 2002 Ray graduated to coaching his son Sam in u8s and a few years later his daughter Rebecca.
Ray enjoyed coaching so much he continued long after his son had aged out of the competition. Over the years he has coached many teams and has had continued success with getting teams through to finals. This season Ray is only coaching 4 teams that are all currently in contention for finals. We wish him well.
Ray himself plays basketball in several teams to stay fit and practice his plays in preparation for his teams.
