The Kingborough Tigers Football Club, Junior and Youth Division plans to continue to build on the successful 2015 season which ended with the following highlights:

  - We were named STJFL Club of the Year and all members will enjoy our prize later in the season

  - Our Youth teams were represented in 4 Grand Finals (U12, U13B, U14A and U16A) with Duane Bakers U13 team taking out the Under 13 B Division Grand Final. Congratulations boys!

  - Individual honours went to two of our Youth players in the STJFL Best and Fairest Awards The Robert Beakley Medal. Congratulations to Mitchell Cooke winning the Under 14A Division award  and Sam Dickson runner up in the Under 13 B Division.

 - The most exciting news of all came after the season, with two of our players drafted to the AFL. Kieran Lovell to Hawthorn and Mackenzie Willis to the Gold Coast Suns. Both Macka and Keiran came through the club as juniors, transitioning to senior football with the Tigers in the TSL with participation in State U16 and U18 academy programs. Years of dedication and hard work resulted in them being recruited to play AFL at the highest level.  The club is very proud of them, both are outstanding young men and we will enjoy following their football careers.  Auskick to AFL with the Tigers....it's possible!!

The committee is very busy behind the scenes, recruiting coaches, booking training facilities, ordering equipment and getting organised for the upcoming season.  Our Under 14 and Under 16 players have begun their pre-season training and we look forward to welcoming all new and returning players in the coming weeks.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of the following Youth Coaches:

Under 16 - Jamieson Smalley

Under 14 - Wayne Morgan

Under 13 - Richard Lancaster

At this stage the Club has appointed only one coach to each age group. Once registrations are received and we have an idea of player numbers we will determine the need for additional teams in each of these age groups. Thank you to Richard, Wayne and Jamieson for their committment and we wish you well for the coming season.

One exciting development is that for season 2016 every KTFC Junior and Youth family will automatically receive a Tigers FC Family Membership. Parents of junior and youth players will receive a membership card entitling them to free entry to all Tigers home games at the Twin Ovals. Purchased separately this would cost $85!

We hope to see as many families as possible up at the Twin Ovals supporting our boys.

So for now, we encourage you to register online to take advantage of the early bird pricing and we will be in touch with further information for all age groups. On Friday 26th February we will be holding information sessions in conjunction with a "Come and Try" session at Kingston Beach Oval. Details about this night will be available shortly.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any queries. Contact details for all committee and 2016 coaches are listed on the website in the Contacts section.
