The Wolves had a perfect Saturday going 3 for 3 at Weldon. Prem Div kept top spot with a 76 point win of C’Town whilst Blakey celebrated his 250th game with a 210 point win over UTS. Division 4 also knocked off top 5 side Sydney Hills Eagles in a great turnaround from last weekend’s performance.
Premier Division - 20.15 (135) def Campbelltown 8.11 (59)
The Wolves held top spot in Premier Division with a outstanding 76 point win over Campbelltown at Weldon. The Blues had been in top form of late and came out matching the Wolves in the opening term. After that it was all systems go for the men in Maroon with 7 goal to 2 2nd term and matched that in the 3rd term. With the game over the Wolves further extended their lead out to 12 goals which was a great result in the end. Big Washo again featured up front booting 5 goals whilst Magnum, Lynchy, Benbow, Stroudy, Nath and Connor all featured in the best. Next week the Wolves are in the middle of a top of the table clash against St George at Olds Park.
Division 2 - 33.15 (213) def UTS 0.3
The Division 2 side secured the Minor Premirship with a dominant performance at Weldon. Rumour had it that with the return of injured players in both 1sts and 2nds the Division 2 side that faced UTS was potentially the strongest reserves side the Wolves had put out this season and they did not disappoint. In Blakey's 250th game the Div 2 side played 4 dominate quarters to take it to 7th placed Bats. The score after quarter time was 170-0 to highlight the Wolves dominance. In a game where everyboday had good games Blakey (4 goals) was best on ground, Pilat, Jarrah (6 goals), Dom, Gabe and Lumpy all had fantastic games. Razzle also took tied lead of the competition goal kicking with a 9 goal haul. Next week the Wolves have a good test at Western Suburbs (3rd) before the week off.
Division 4 - 12.7 (79) def Sydney Hills Eagles 7.14 (56)
With a number of returns in higher grades Division 4 were blessed with a number of big ins and knocked off finals bound (or so they thought) Sydney Hills by 23 points in the early game at Weldon. In a 120 point turn around from last week the Wolves ended SHE's finals chances with a dominate 2nd quarter. Despite struggling in the final quarter the Wolves had built a strong enough lead to hold on for the win. Walt kicked 3 in his final game for the season before returning to the states, whilst Bourkey, Pokey, Mark, Adrian and Jnr Pilat having quality games. In their final match of the season the Wolves face finals bound Moorebank but the form the 4's are in could finish the season with 5 wins in their last 6 games.
Under 18s had the week off and face Moorebank this week, with the minor premirship wound up for both 2's and 18s it appears as the club was won back to back Club Championships.
