2013 will be our 51st year of competition.
Canley Vale J.R.L.F.C was the brain child of the late Jimmy Connell (life member) and former Western Suburbs first grade player Dev Dines (life member).
It all took place one afternoon after the 2 men had watched a junior game and decided that it was about time Canley Vale had it's own team in the Parramatta competition.
So the new club was born in 1962 with the first team, under 12's entered in the 1963 season. 1964 with two teams entered we won one premiership and one runner up.
Our first president was the late Mr Frank Johnson remaining at the helm from 1963 through to 1967. Sadley Frank passed away in 2004, we have named one of the club trophies in his honour.
We have had many players pass through our club to go onto the top level such as Michael Buettner who retired at the end of the 2004 season. Michael Vella, Wayne Levy, Brian "Jacko" Jackson, Phillip Mann, Paul Langmack & Steve Sharpe to name a few.
