On Thursday the 17th of February, players from the Wests Tigers NRL team came to the Southern Highlands for some school visits. They players spoke to the children about belonging and about being part of something, like being a part of our family, community groups, school groups, and sporting groups. They also spoke about the importance of health and wellbeing. The players told the children about what it took to be an NRL player, about looking after themselves, eating well, sleeping and exercise.
Members of our club were also on hand to tell the children about The Mossy Junior Dragons and to invite them along to our “Come and Try Clinic” and to register with our club.
There was a West Tigers trivia game and a chance for some of the children to meet the players. This was a great opportunity for our schools and we thank the Wests Tigers for their continued support to Rugby League in the Southern Highlands.
