Aussies Hoops resumes in Traralgon

Aussie Hoops in Traralgon

Latrobe City Energy will again be running Aussie Hoops in Traralgon on Friday afternoons during Term 1.

Aussie Hoops is the fun and exciting national program for primary school children that uses a "game sense" approach to introduce young people to basketball.

Aussie Hoops embraces the concept of modified sport, where participants can enjoy themselves in a fun and safe environment, participating in exciting activities without the pressures of a full-scale basketball match.   Children can develop their basketball skills and also their general motor skills through “game sense” activities and will be enjoying themselves so much they won’t even realize they are learning and making new friends!

The aim of the program is for kids to:
•    Have FUN;
•    Learn new basketball skills;
•    Spend time with friends;
•    Be active and safe.

The program will be run at Latrobe Leisure Traralgon Sports Stadium on Friday afternoons from 4 to 4.45 pm, commencing on February 15 for young people in Prep to Grade 2.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
