State Singles 2013

Section 6 - Charlie "The Pom" McKay, Gets a tough section, but did beat Matt Mitchell the current Premier Skipper at Mt Lawley. If he gets his draw game going may sneak under the guard of Sam Perica who looms as his greatest danger.

Section 35 - Simon "Merv" Alden, with the withdrawal of ex State Player Smallacombe, my greatest danger appears to be in the following rounds potentially Bowron/Neilson and the Ellul

Section 46 - Max "Darth Vader" Donovan, in sparkling form and against 2 players against Quinns should have their measure. If wins will probably play Steve Srhoy next round

Section 51 - Neil "Payney" Payne, 9 time club singles champ we know he plays a very solid singles game and will probably finish the best for our club. Does strike some handy singles players in Rob Lawrence and then Ken Screech

Section 57 - "Uncle" Arthur Bartlett, has got a good draw and is bowling well enough to win it, as long as his name isn't Cartledge Arthur can go a few rounds before striking singles gun Provost

Section 75 - Erron "Jughead" Martin, recently retyred Erron is enjoying a new lease on life and bowling well is in a difficult section and if can get thru might potentially get another Kalamunda bowler

Section 76 - Alex "Ernie" Burt, probably Kalamundas most difficult section but Alex showed his singles games with the runner up in last years Champion of Champions. If wins will hopefully play Erron

Section 98 - Mitch "Mitch" Biglin, looks to be the classiest bowler in his area of the draw and a quarter final appearance wouldn't surprise. May have to overcome Les Murray to get that far though

Section 99 - "Sir" Les Murray, will have the benefit of playing Peter Cole after winning his first game and having a break. Les always enters the state events and is a credit to others in keeping on competing despite the odds stacked against him. It would be good to see more Kalamunda bowlers take a leaf out of Les's book and entering events such as this year after year. Go the Tiges!
