History

West Adelaide Women's Football Club (WAWFC) play in the SAWFL competition and are an amateur women's football club.  Our club currently has two teams represented in the Adelaide Footy League competition for 2017.

Division One is coached by Brooke Copeland with assistants Shane Moon and Chloe Whiley.
Division Three is coached by Brian Mattner and David Bellinger

We train at City Mazda Stadium and have access to all of the West Adelaide Football Clubs (WAFC) facilities.  We are separate entities and train after the WAFC programmes. Our main training night is on Tuesday and starts at 6.30pm.  Players have access to Strength & Conditioning programs from the West Adelaide Football Club Fitness Coach and are able to utilise the gym facilities.

Generally we recommend you come out for a session to meet the team and see what you think and then talk to the coaching staff to evaluate where you are at with your footy.

In July the WAFC participate in the Statewide Super Shield a junior girls talent programme commencing in late July for girls in the U14 and U17 age bracket.  This competition aligns the girls to an SANFL club and the eight teams compete over four weeks.  The WAWFC assist the WAFC with this programme by providing senior and state players to coach and role model for young women aspiring to play the game.
