State Award for Kalangadoo Netball Club

Since 1994 the Magpies have played in every title decider and won 20 of the past 23 A grade premierships and there has also been plenty of silverware across all senior and junior grades during that period of A Grade dominance. Now the club’s excellence both on and off the court has been recognised by the State’s governing body, with KNC being awarded the Club Excellence Award for 2015.more

Kalangadoo retains the Max Matthews Memorial Cup after defeating Glencoe last Saturday 113 to 56. This win cements the Magpies in third position and sets up the season. Next week is the South East Zone Carnival at Mount Burr so all clubs have a bye.more

The Kalangadoo Football Club had its AGM on Tuesday night and Nick Rogers is the new president, replacing Leigh McManus who stepped down after 2 years in the role. 2013 Interleague game MSEFL v Mallee FL at Kalangadoo

The MSEFL played the Mallee FL Interleague game at Kalangadoo on Saturday 8th June, with the U/17 MSE team coming away with a victory.
Well done to Kalangadoo players in U/14 (Sam McManus), U/17 (Christian Howlett, Jakob Opie, Tyler Jones, Braiden Ousey and Mitch Lowe) and Seniors (Andrew Stone and Jaggs Pratt) for being selected in their respective teams. There was also an U/15 interleague carnival played at Naracoorte on Sunday. Liam Carlson, Pat Davies and Lachlan Farrugia were all involved. Unfortunately no success, but Pat Davies won the best player for Mid SE for the day. Photos are in the Photo Gallery and Sav's round 9 Firkin Magpie notes are now up.more

It is, however a sad occasion, the Kalangadoo FNC would like to send their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late Steven 'Dexel' Noble, Captain of the Port MacDonnell Football Club. The clubs family fun day was a great success with a good turnout of people and fun was had by all.

Kalangadoo's Goods and Services Auction

The annual Kalangadoo Goods and Services Auction was held on Sunday 8th and was a huge success. It is the major fundraiser for the club and some of the items up for grabs were Camping equipment, Helicopter flights, food and wine packs, Trade tools and Redgum firewood. Thanks to all the sponsors who donated items and thanks to all who helped make the day a success.more

Sav's Japanese Tour Photos

Sav had a crack at some raw sushi & has been trying to interact with the locals. He gave a Sherrin footy to a Japanese guy called Sieji who has been helping Ian out with the party. The Dj downloaded the song `Up there Cazaly` by Mike Brady and all the Aussie blokes that were at the party got into full voice with the Sherrin getting the full salute by them all.more

Kalangadoo Footballers named in Interleague Squad

Well done to Andrew Stone, Brian Casey and Chris Mules named in the initial 49 man Mid South East Interleague squad which will play the Mallee Football League at Pinnaroo on June 9.
The MSEFL played and defeated the Mallee Football League in 2011 at Robe.
The players will have five training sessions together before the final squad is picked.more
