From the 1st of August 2017, changes to the Working with Children Act 2005 have come into effect.
These changes may affect people who are currently volunteering with the Avoca FNC. Currently, we only require coaches and trainers to have current Working with Children’s Checks. The changes now extend to umpires, runners, team managers, water carriers etmore

Being without a home ground for training and playing and having to travel long distance for our practice match isn't ideal, however it proves if we have dedicated volunteers and players we are able to get through this adversity and actually enjoy ourselves at the same time.

The Avoca Football Netball Club is seeking the services of a netball umpire to cover our senior grades (up to 2 games per week).
The Club requires umpires to have a minimum of a C Badge and a current Level 1. Remuneration is negotiable including travel and other expenses.

The Avoca Football Netball Club has positions available for at least 2 suitably qualified Sports Trainers.
Trainers are required to have a current Level 1 First Aid Certificate and current Working With Children’s Check. Level 1 Sports Trainer accreditation is advantageous, but not essential.more

It was a great start to Baz’s 500th game after everyone had made a guard of honour for him to break the banner.
When the game started he marked the ball for a shot at goal just 10 seconds into the game, but unfortunately he was a bit astray with the kick, but he soon made up for it with his next shot.

As winners of the Sponsor's Draw, Sam & Jo will be attending Etihad Stadium on Saturday June 22nd for the Western Bulldogs v Richmond clash.
They will be guests at the Western Bulldogs President's Club Function where they will be wined and dined courtesy of the Western Bulldogs Football Club.
The HarbourView Apartments are only 500 metres from Etihad Stadium so would be an ideal accommodation choice when going to the AFL footy at Etihad Stadium.

The reunion is a get together for all football and netball players of all grades and all

Tracey has been an outstanding servant of our club as a player and coach of the Avoca Bulldogs over the years, and is a premiership player and Best & Fairest winner.
2013 will be a 20 year reunion year for all football & netball players and supporters of the Avoca FNC in the 1993 season.

Avoca had 6 out of the 7 teams play off in the Grand Final, winning the premiership in the Senior Football and the Senior, Reserves and Under 17 Netball.

Jaye first played for the club as a ten year old back in 1999 to make up the numbers, but commenced playing full time in 2003 and was the winner of the Best Under 14 award in that season.
Damien was a former player of the Avoca FNC during the 1960’s playing in the Seniors and Reserves. Damien won the Reserves Grade Hans Ebeling Award in 1961 and won a trip to the VFL Grand Final.

The Bendigo Bank Maryborough Castlemaine District FNL season kicks off this weekend with an Easter Saturday game between the Maldon FNC and the Campbells Creek FNC, taking place at Woodfull Reserve Maldon this Saturday 7th April. The match will be played to coincide with the Maldon Easter Fair, and as “stand alone” game that is being played 2 weeks prior to the other fixtures kicking off, the match is sure to draw a huge crowd and give MCDFNL supporters a taste of what's to be expected during the 2012 season.more
