Today we are back on the Road to Corio and look forward to this round of matches in both footy and netball. Last week against Inverleigh the seniors were in it to the last 5 minutes but think injuries took their toll and that’s history, now to reverse this for rest of the season. The Reserves on Pete Greys 200th played good footy and deserved their win. The Netballers would have been very happy with the way the Juniors preformed against strong opposition to record solid wins, the only Grade to not win were B Grade but a draw is a draw.
Last week we were without many volunteers and would like to thanks Chris Foley for getting ground ready and Bobby Chamberlain and Gary O’Toole for doing the trainers duty. Not sure what we would have done without you all.
The clubs new look apparel has arrived so have a look and perhaps update as this new style will be with us for a few years. There is a full range from Polo’s/Hoodies to wet weather gear to caps to scarfs so something for everyone.
Saturday night was the Ball at The Phoenix Hotel Tickets and a great turnout and a very successful event so well done everyone who organised and helped out. Now we turn our attention to the $5000- draw and tickets are out for everyone to sell their allocated tickets. This is a must event for us all and needs to be ultra successful so see Luke Phipps or a committee person if you do not have yours or would like to purchase one. Ensure your friends are involved as well to make is easier on us all.
