Centrals Premiers in A & B Grades

WERRIBEE Centrals saved their best for last, turning the tables on Thomson to win Saturday’s GDFL A-Grade netball grand final with a thumping 28-goal victory. Still stinging from losing last year’s decider to the Tigers, the Centurions set the tone early and never looked back and never gave the opposition a chance.

No Last Laugh at Bannockburn

This was the make or break game to make the finals for both clubs and everyone thought this would be a close encounter at Bannockburn even though they gave us a touch up earlier in the year. It also was always going to be a game played in poor conditions with rain, wind and hail all forecasted and yes we go them all.
Bannockburn kicked with the wind and got away to a 4 goal lead but it wasn’t ...more

Sponsors Day at Civilex Oval

This game against Winchelsea was again a must win for both sides to stay in the finals hunt. Winch started with the big Mark Blake in the ruck and he was giving them first use of the ball but the hustle of the younger players was getting the ball back and with goals to J Sloan & Blake Taylor after a very crude bump Centrals had the start they wanted. Winch though got them straight back with two...more

Must Win Against Winch And Its Sponsors Day

Two games to go and two of the most important ones for many years as they are make or break for a 2018 finals berth. With other games going our way we are back in the hunt and just have to win both our remaining games to make it in senior footy. First hurdle is this weekend against Winchelsea at our own Civilex Oval. Will be a great game as Winch are in the same boat as we are.

Centrals Regain The Williamson/Gillett Cup Against Anakie

This game against Anakie was a must win and hope a few results in other games went our way to get back in finals contention. It was also the rematch of the Gillet/Williamson Cup named after our great friends Dawn & Hotshot so an emotional one for many. After a draw in the last game we needed the result to also prove a point.
It was an even start with Centrals kicking into a strong wind making it hmore

A Loss That Means So Much

This game against Geelong West also vying for a finals spot was the game that we just had to win to be sure that a position in the five could be there if the team continued to win the games in front of them. Coming off the bye and with a couple of injuries which were covered from returning players it was make or break for both sides. The opening quarter was played just as it would be expected...more

Big Win at Civilex Oval Against Corio

Well after a great win against the top team last week we fronted up to Corio who are struggling this year and with a few players missing it was one that needed to not slip away. A quick start by the side and a goal to Daniel Boyd and it certainly looked like the side had no intention to let this one get away. The endeavor and pressure and run was still there and Centrals quickly had a 10 goal ....more

Outstanding Result at Inverleigh

Firstly this week we welcome Truck Stop Deluxe as a sponsor for the playing Group. Well up against the ladder leaders Inverleigh a honorable loss on their home ground would have been a fair result but this was never on the cards for this young group who once again showed what youth, talent and persistence can do when it all comes together. The difference between the two sides was Centrals pressuremore
