The SGR Giants will host their very first (Stanhope) Home Game TONIGHT!
They had their first win in 21 games last week and are very keen to keep the momentum going. Will be fantastic to see a few people down there cheering the young kids on.
Brayden Hall was at traiing last night to drum up some support:
"Hi for those who don't know me, my name is Brayden Hall and I play for the SGR Giants Under 12's. SGR stands for Stanhope-Girgarre-Rushworth. My Dad Leigh Hall is our coach and my Mum Sam is Team Manager and First Aid Person. We are playing our first home game at Stanhope tomorrow night starting at 7pm.
I would love for you to come down and cheer us on, even for a little bit as i think it will help us play better having lots of supporters. We have a canteen open too so you can buy some tea if you'd like. We won our first game 2 weeks ago, which was exciting. But no one knew the theme song becasue we hadn't had a win in 21 games! But hopefully we can win a few more games and sing the song really well this time.
My footall goal is to play Stanhope Seniors when I'm 16. My team is the future of our club so I really hope to see you tomorrow night"
It all kicks off from 7pm @ Stanhope Recreation Reserve, get down there and cheer the Giants on!
