What’s in it for me as a coach?

Ø  Knowledge - You will learn some new drills and skills which will make you a better coach;

Ø  Satisfaction - without coaches in attendance, the kids won’t be able to receive good coaching and be given feedback on how they can get better;

Ø  Food - Lunch will be provided at all FDP camps!

Contact me now!

If you can help out at any of the above camps , can you please email me to let me know (if you can’t assist can you also let me know) or give me a call on 0432579285. Even if you can only attend part of a camp, that will assist us immensely.

PS. Also, bring a new coach along with you – the more the merrier (feel free to forward this email to your coaching peers)!

Biddi Ball Review meeting and guest speaker Roosevelt Williams

All  Coaches – WABL and Junior Competition

Please be advised that a Coaches Meeting is planned for April 20, 2013 where the Biddi Ball Basketball Program for 4 – 8 years old will be introduced to attendees followed by a key presentation “on how to build players basketball self-efficacy or their perceptions of their basketball ability” by Roosevelt Williams.

The talk will revolve around  building a positive culture that promotes this basketball and character development.  The theory and research has proven that increasing players perceptions of their abilities positively impacts their levels of internal motivation, resilience to adversity, willingness to try new skills, and overall performance. In keeping with this I promote a process focused orientation where I promote mastering skills and focusing on things the kids can control, like effort and willingness to make mistakes, instead of winning (or things like making shots

Roosevelt’s has previously been the Education and Training Officer for Basketball WA, SBL Player, WABL and Development Coach and has a background in Psychology which has led him into research into Junior Development..
