New Zealand boys just too good
If the Aussies were not overawed by the fearsome haka the Kiwis threw at them before the game, then the physical determination and skill of the Kiwis was too much to the taller Australian green team. The New Zealand boys are deserving winners of the inaugural gold medal for 3x3 International competition with their comprehensive 18 to 12 point win over the Australians.
Gerrand and Salt did the damage for New Zealand, combining to score 17 of their 18 points, while the Aussies shared their baskets. Healy put in 5, Rennie added 4, East Perth Eagle Andre Donlagic put in 2 and Clark scored 1 basket.
