It is with regret that the Executive Committee informs our members at the passing of KEITH LAWSON on Sunday, 11th November 2012. Keith was a Tigers stalwart who held several Executive Committee and Team Management positions over a number of years. He was passionate about the game of rugby league and was a Life Member of the Auckland Rugby League and a lifelong member of the Tigers. At the time of his passing he was also Vice President of the Auckland Rugby League.

Keith has been a great sounding board for the current committee and we will miss his support.

In recent years he has lived out of Auckland but continued to take an interest in the club affairs including attending the 2010 Centenary celebrations and special general meetings held to discuss the sale of the Birkenhead Ave property. His endorsement of the Executive Committee’s recommendation to sell that was made to members was greatly appreciated.

Keith is survived by his wife Bev, who like Keith has always been a staunch TIGERS/Rugby League supporter and his children Kim, Scott and Mark. Keith also has 5 grandchildren.

I am sure club members will join me in passing on our condolences to the Lawson family at this sad time.

Bobbie Rudolph

Club Chairperson

Keiths funeral is to be held at Dils Funeral Services, Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Thursday, 15th November at 3.30pm followed by a private cremation.
