Ryan joined our coaching group in 2017 at the U9 level. Mick Maestromano continues with the coaching group and will again coach at the Under 9 level. Mick played junior football at Silverton and played Senior football at various clubs including Bulleen, Monash and Nunawading. Mick also has experience coaching the reserves at Bulleen Cobras and Club 18 at Monash Gyphons. After coaching the Under 9s in 2016 at the Hawks Mick has a greater understanding of what is needed for his players.
As a coach at this Under 9 level, Mick will endeavour to help players learn the basic skills of football and develop those as the year progresses. He sees the team environment as important and hopes all players gain physical and social benefits from interacting and playing as part of this group. Rob Bonaddio continues at the Hawks coaching at the U10 level in 2017. Rob is passionate about his sport having played football for Oakleigh in his younger days and as a teenager played Rugby for Waverley, representing Victoria on two occasions. He has 3 years coaching experience at Mazenod / St Leonard’s Auskick at all age groups, has been club umpire and has just finished a successful season with the U9 Browns. Rob is all about the participation of the players, working together as a team and building on players self confidence in what will be a fun / safe environment for your child to learn and develop their skills.more -->
Denis Irvine joined our coaching group in 2017 at the U10 level. Denis is lookng and looks forward to the challenge of taking on role of coaching the U11 group.
Denis played his football at various clubs including Old Haileybury, Forest Hill and Chadstone. Denis also has past coaching experience coaching Under 10s at Glen Waverley Hawks and was Group Leader for the Under 6 & U7 age groups at Waverley Little Athletics.
Denis will look to create a learning environment, getting all players involved and working with his team to play within the spirit of the game. He aims to build on the work done in Under 10 and help all players develop their skills, team work, decision making and enjoyment of the game. Alex Vicic continues in 2017 in his role as coach of Under 10 Girls. After coaching many years at Auskick level, two years with the U9’s and a nomination for ‘Junior Coach of the Year’ in the Inner East Region, Alex is the perfect coach to help push the development of girls football starting at this level. Alex has a great understanding of players at the younger age groups and after the clubs first year with U9 girls, he looks forward to continually helping his players develop their skills and understanding of the game.
Working closely with his players, Alex will provide a great team environment and a continued introduction to football for the Under 10 girls. Girls football is set to take off in participation and Alex is the right person to provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to players at this level and will ensure all players have fun in a supportive environment.

Mark Dell’arciprete has been reappointed to coach this group at the U11 level. After being assistant coach in 2015, a successful first year as coach in 2016, Mark looks to continue the development of the players as they move from modified rules to U11s. Mark played his junior football for Dandenong Saints and has been coaching Auskick at St Justin’s for 4 years. Mark looks to instill the values of team play and having fun with their football on his players. He looks to build on and develop further the basic skills of football and respect for the game and the people. The players will have another great year under Mark's guidance.more -->
Damien Quinlan continues as coach of this group which now moves to the U11 level in 2017.
Damien is currently a teacher at Caulfield Grammar School where he teaches Year 10 PE. He has been teaching for over 20 years and has taught overseas and worked with students from all ages. As a junior he played football with Highett West, Cheltenham Assumption and trained with the Under 16's St.Kilda Junior Development Squad. In his senior years of footy he played with CBC St.Kilda and De La Salle College. In his first year of coaching, Damien's provided the Under 10's with an enjoyable and positive learning experience. He encouraged each team member to work with one another and to further develop their football knowledge and skills.

Ray Beteramia joins our coaching ranks for the first time as coach of the Under12 Gold side. Ray has been involved with football for many years playing his junior football at West Meadows and Greenvale and has been involved at the Hawks over the past 11 years. Ray has a passion for football and as coach will endeavour to develop the player’s football skills, sense of sportsmanship and most of all make it a fun environment for all participants. Ray sees this role as a good opportunity for him to develop players at a junior level and work to create a great team spirit. Children playing junior sport is an important part of their live's and Ray looks forward to working with everyone in making a great 2017 season.more -->
Noel Blacker joins our coaching ranks for the first time as coach of the Under 12 Brown side. Noel has a passion for football and brings great experience as a teacher by profession and many years’ experience coaching junior and senior school football teams. Noel has spent 2016 as assistant under Chris Hickey and is now excited to take on the main coaching job in 2017. Noel played junior and senior football with Black Rock as well as playing district cricket and coaching various junior / senior cricket sides.
With all this experience, Noel will look to create a learning environment where the individual can strive to better themselves as a footballer, be a team player and most importantly have fun while doing it.
Noel is also completing a Masters in Exercise Physiology so will have a good understanding of the importance of fitness at junior levels and aims to improve players skills and fitness in a developing environment. Your child should look forward to a great season under Noel.more -->
Chloe Harrison joins the Waverley Park Hawks coaching group as coach of the Under 12 Girls side. Chloe has played 3 years of junior football as a player at the Hawks and is excited to take on the main coaching role. Chloe is also currently through her second season of coaching girls cricket at Glen Waverley.
Chloe looks to provide a learning and developing environment with the focus on participation, inclusion and enjoyment. The club looks forward to Chloe, as the second female to coach at the club, to bring her youthful exuberance and experience with girls football to this Under 12 group. Nick Thompson continues to coach this group as they move to U13 level after a successful 2016 where they won the Under 12 Premiership. Nick is passionate about his sport having played junior football for Ormond and then Caulfield Grammarians in Under 19’s as well as senior football. Nick is all about players working together and developing in their roles as a team. He relies on a positive, encouraging and respectful culture first and foremost within the team which reflects the club culture. After a great season with his team Nick was nominated for ‘Junior Coach of the Year’ in the Inner East Region. He will look to build on the current environment where your child will continue to learn and develop their skills while having fun.more -->
Francis Palleschi continues with our coaching group but moves to the Under 14 level after two great seasons in Under 15s & 16s where he guided his team to the finals and received a nomination for ‘Coach of the Year’ for our region. Francis has previously played at the Waverley Park Hawks and currently plays for the Mazenod Old Collegians Football Club. Francis has assisted at Auskick level, worked at Mazenod College with different year level football teams and has been assistant or coach over the last 3 years at the Hawks. He is studying Sports Science which gives him a great insight into health and fitness for his players.
Francis showed this year his great passion and desire for football and after a successful 2016, he is looking to work with this group of players and take them one step further in 2017. Francis brings great football insight, enthusiasm and a desire to develop young players with their skills and confidence to this role and has plans in place for a successful season for this group in an enjoyable, team orientated environment.more -->
Mark Addison joins our coaching ranks as coach of the Under 14 Gold side in 2017.
Mark has a passion for football and brings many years’ playing/coaching experience at both junior and senior levels. Mark played with Oakleigh Districts and Clayton in juniors and seniors as well as Oakleigh VFA. Mark has been involved at Northvale as assistant coach and runner in Under 10 / Under 11 and also coached at Under 13 and Under 14 levels. Mark's coaching experience alsoextends to assistant coach and runner at Clayton reserves.
Mark will look to nurture a love for football and help all players be the best they can both on and off the field. He looks to pass on some of his extensive experience to create a positive team environment where all players improve and make long term friendships through this great game.
Mark is excited about the season ahead and all players should look forward to a great year under his guidance.
Brad McClean joins our coaching ranks for the first time as coach of the Under 14 Girls side. After assisting in coaching and training girl’s football for the last 3 years Brad is excited to have an opportunity to take on the main coaching role.
Brad will look to develop the skills of the girls to be the best they can and looks to help them improve each week, as a team and individual players.
Brad will be supported by David Huggins as Under 14 girls assistant coach. David has been involved in junior football as runner, umpire and has many years of junior/senior football experience behind him as well as coaching both girls and boys at cricket and Auskick levels.
With a great focus on girls football nationally Brad and David will aim to educate, facilitate and encourage female participation in a positive, team environment. Brad and David look forward to working with everyone in making a great 2017 season for the Under 14 girls.more -->
Carl Perez joins our coaching ranks for the first time as coach of the Under 15 Gold side. Carl has been involved with this age group from U9s having held assistant coach and runner roles and also part of the Hawks Football Operations Team. Carl played junior and senior football at St Peters and Mazenod Old Collegians and is also currently coaching basketball. Carl now looks forward to bringing his experience and knowledge to the main coaching role at Under 15 level where he will focus on educating and guiding the players to get the best out of themselves while competing in a team environment. Carl’s aim is for the group to get that love and passion for football back so they get involved, enjoy the experience and the results will follow. Carl will ensure the players are in a structured, developing environment and continue to have fun. Carl looks forward to working with everyone in making the 2017 season a great one.more -->
Brendan Mahon joins our coaching ranks for the first time as coach of the Under 15 Brown side. Brendan is passionate about his football and after a few years in a support role as runner and assistant coach is excited to take on the main coaching role.
With a background in the Army, Brendan has played and coached in the Riverina Football League and has been an Auskick coach for the past ten years. He looks forward to bringing all that experience and knowledge to the main coaching role at Under 15 level.
Brendan will provide an engaging environment where players can enjoy their football with his philosophy based around personal development. Brendan looks to build the players game around their strengths and help build confidence with a team first mentality. Brendan’s aim is for success which he measures on a player’s enjoyment and engagement in a team culture as well as their development as footballers and young men.

Ian Bingham joins our coaching ranks for the first time as coach of the Under 16 Brown side. Ian is passionate about his football having been involved as a player, coach, trainer or committee member over the last 20 years.
Ian has played over 280 games of senior football at various clubs including Mazenod and Chadstone. He has coached at Under 12 /U13/U14 levels at Lysterfield junior football club and Chadstone seniors in 2009/2010 as well as assistant coach in 2016. Ian looks to bring this experience at different levels to the Under 16 Brown side where his focus is on effort and improvement with the aim of helping each player to become the best player they can. He understands the importance of football and a team environment on a young adults life and will look to create a game style to suit the playing group in a structured, developing and positive environment.

Greg Fraser joins our coaching ranks for the first time as coach of the Under 16 Gold side. Greg loves his sports, especially football and is excited to challenge himself in the coaching role. Greg has previously played football for Bentleigh in 1st Division SESFL, has coached junior cricket and also was coach /coordinator of Waverley Park Auskick for 4 years.
Greg now looks forward to bringing all that experience to the main coaching role at Under 16 level where he sees his job to develop the solid understanding the players should have of the game and be ready to work on structures and plans for a successful year in a team orientated environment. Fitness and skills are important to Greg and he will look to get involvement from the parent group to help further develop this group.

Charles Spicer joins our coaching ranks for the first time as coach of the Under 16 Girls side. Charles has 17 years in teaching which has seen him actively involved in the sporting side of things. Charles has coached football teams at schools for 10 years but also has coaching accreditations in hockey, cricket, volleyball and basketball.
Charles now looks forward to bringing all that experience and knowledge to the main coaching role at the Under 16 Girls level. Charles will ensure the players are in a structured, developing environment which is focussed on participation and fun for all players. He sees it as a great opportunity to coach to players individual needs and bring out the best in each player to make the year enjoyable as possible.

Jackson Morgan joins our coaching ranks as Under 17 coach in 2017.
Jackson is passionate about his sports especially football and is keen to guide our Under 17 group in their final year at the Hawks and in their transition to senior football. Jackson has been involved at the Hawks previously for 10 years as a player and has also assisted with our junior sides as well as coaching school sides for 2 years at Brentwood Secondary.
Jackson will aim to help create a footballing environment that is enjoyable through competitiveness, incorporates everyone's love for the sport and acknowledges different skill and fitness levels whilst continually growing both within the team. more -->
