The Ginninderra Rats Basketball Club aims to keep their basketball program affordable to families by providing player singlets on loan for the season. All singlets remain the property of the Ginninderra Rats Basketball Club.

All players are issued with a Rats singlet for use during the season. Singlets must be returned to the Team Manager at the end of each season either at the game or by personally following up. A distribution record will be kept by the team manager. For players who have not returned their singlets upon completion of the season (or when they leave the team), regardless to the condition of the singlet issued a $50 replacement fee will be charged to their account so the singlet can be replaced. Any singlet may also be returned to the Rats PO Box at any time, PO Box 255, Jamison ACT 2614 (include player’s name and team and if possible email the team manager).

Shorts for U12-U19’s 2nd year and on players
Shorts for all players are to be purchased at family expense. Rats shorts are part of our uniform for age groups from under 12’s to under 19’s.

Shorts need to be purchased once your child has committed to multiple seasons.  They do not need to be purchased for first year players.  They can be ordered through the 'Purchase Shorts' tab on the website.

Shorts for U10’s and first yearplayers
Plain navy shorts (without pockets and toggles) are to be worn. These are available from various suppliers around Canberra or the Rats shorts can be purchased through the club at the cost of $40

To assist with retention of singlets, team managers will ask players return their singlets prior any long holiday period. For the Challenge Season (summer competition), players should return their singlets to their manager after the last December game as a lot of singlets go missing during the long break. The manager will reissue singlets to players at the first training or game in February of the following year. All players are to return their singlet at the completion of the competition or if leaving the team before the competition finishes, at their last game. To assist the club with the life of the singlets, players are asked not to place the singlets in conventional electric dryers as it degrades the materials used in production of the singlets.

Record Keeping
The completed records should be forward to the uniform Coordinator at the start & end of each season.
