Clarifications to Selection Policy for 2013

9th – 17th Grades

Trials run by the DOF and any independent selectors of his choice, along with the grade Convenor and Delegate (if required) any coaches appointed prior to trials are to remain behind the roped off area.

The DOF may refer to the any appointed coaches prior or at the completion of the trial. If there are any certain players that need to be specifically looked at the bib numbers can be noted prior to the trial so the DOF can access them.

Once the 1st and 2nd team squads have been selected under no circumstances is any player to be given any indication of 1st or 2nd team selection.

The full squad list is to be given to the grade delegate who will then notify the grade convenor and squad by email to advice that they have been selected for the 1st and 2nd team squad.

During the initial squad training period, prior to the final selection new players can be added to the squad at the discretion of the convenor/delegate and with the DOF’s approval.

At the completion of the training period the DOF will make the final selection for the 1st and 2nd teams and if required a final trial will be held.

If there isn’t enough to make 2 teams some players will be asked to come to musters and a 2nd team will be made from there.
