ECB 1 Onehunga Sports 0 played 09/04/2007

Easter Monday saw Bays at home to newly promoted Onehunga Sports and hopes were high after the goal fest the previous Saturday. The visitors were first to test the waters with a good run from Byron Paulus forcing a Ryan Zoghby clearance. Jonathan Navarette Munoz latched on to the ball, passed to Joe Bresnahan who set off down the field before passing to Leigh Kenyon who finished off from close range. Unfortunately that was the first and only goal of the game. Chances were created and went begging as Dan Peat, Nick Hyde and Bresnahan were denied and Sam Jewell kept out Paulus at the other end. The second half saw more of the same with Onehunga keeper Grant Schofield denying Michael Bell, Daniel Morgan-Howell and Cam Howitt, while Jewell denied Steven Laus and Mark Elrick at the other end of the park. A hard fought battle but another three points. Team: Jewell,Forrest, Sheehan, Zoghby, Bell, Munoz (Morgan-Howell 48), Hyde, Kenyon, Webster, Bresnahan (Howitt 62), Peat (Gibson 87) Scorers: Kenyon 8
