ECB 1 Albany United 0 played 25/04/2007

This Anzac Day fixture was a dour encounter with Albany playing for a point, even though they were the home team. Bays dominated the first 20 minutes but were kept at bay by resoulute defence. Indeed the first meaningful shot on goal came in the 36th minute following a Dan Peat run and cross which saw Joe Bresnahan bringing out the best of Albany keeper Aidan Gwilt. A scoreless first half looked like repeating itself until a Daniel Morgan-Howell header from a corner in the 64th minute eluded the packed Albany defence and snuck into the net. There were a couple of other chances created but they came to nothing. Three points gained. Team: Spoonley, Sheehan, Zoghby, Edginton, Forrest, Kenyon, Hyde, Webster, Bresnahan, Peat, Morgan-Howell Scorers: Morgan-Howell 64
