ECB 4 North Force 0 played 24/05/2008

Another comfortable win for East Coast Bays over a spirited North Force side who tried hard but lacked the firepower to trouble the Bays defence. Bays took the lead after only three minutes when Jeff Campbell was on hand to finish of a move that began deep in their own half and involved five or six players. Phil Edginton was denied when the North Force keeper, Leon Taylor saved his header. This was to be one of many fine saves this young custodian was to make throughout the match. Continual pressure from the home team paid off halfway through the first period when Leigh Kenyon put away a Glen Forrest cross following on from a typical Dan Peat run through the defence. No further scoring until just before the break, when Joe Bresnahan got on the end of another Peat cross o make it 3-0 at half time. It should have been 4-0 right at the start of the second half when Ryan Zoghby made a break but Jason McKeown somehow managed to avoid scoring. Taylor was on hand to deny both Campbell and Peat in quick succession but had no chance when McKeown was brought down in the box and Peat made no mistake from the penalty box. The rest of the game saw Bays dominant with Peat (twice), Campbell and George Suri all denied by some great goalkeeping and coupled with some wayward shooting meant the scoreboard had an easy time for the remainder of the game. Team: Gwilt, Forrest, Hyde, Edginton, Estrin, Zoghby (Suri 68), Kenyon, Bresnahan (Webster 68), Campbell, McKeown (Morgan-Howell 77), Peat Scorers: Campbell 3, Kenyon 28, Bresnahan 43, Peat (pen) 62
