ECB Wood 10th Grade Runners-Up at Papakura

ECB Wood hoped to emulate their winning performance at Papamoa. After three wins and a loss in pool play it looked like we would be playing for the plate but we qualified as best second placed team being in the toughest pool. We beat Fencibles in the semi-final and met Western Springs in the final who we had beaten in pool play. Unfortunately they were too good in the final winning 2-0.

Coach Dave Wood was very proud of the boys being the best performance to date. Teams from our pool came first and second in the tournament and won the plate.

They hope to improve their performances in tournaments to come.
