The Premiers and Development team have finished their season.
Three penalties were given and two were saved in an entertaining game that saw Bays come from behind to take the points and move to fourth in the table.
Deklan Wynne and Andre De Jong were unavailable, having been called up for New Zealand A, so the inevitable reshuffling took place in the starting lineup.
Wanderers were quickest off the mark with a Frederico Marquez break but his cross was just behind the onrushing striker.
Play then settled down with both sides seeking an advantage but Wanderers took the lead in the 18th minute following a break down the left. The cross was not cleared and Mark Jones found the back of the net.
Four minutes later, Bays had a chance to level the score when Dylan Stansfield was brought down in the penalty area. Mario Hofmann took the kick but his shot was saved by Vlad Frank diving quickly to his right..
Play continued back and forth with few chances being created until the 33rd minute when Hofmann made a good run down the left flank and crossed for Peat the score from close range.
Half time arrived with both sides even on the scoreboard.
Following the break, a revitalised Bays side took the game to Wanderers, winning a corner after three minutes.. Twice the ball was cleared off the line before at the third attempt Kris Carpenter forced the ball into the net to give Bays the lead.
Five minutes later, Stansfield broke in midfield, passed the ball to Peat who took off down the left and crossed the ball to Hofmann, who swivelled and placed his shot just wide of Frank into the corner of the net..
Minutes later, Wanderers were offered a lifeline when a striker was pulled down in the box. Jones took the penalty, the shot was identical to that of Hofmann and the result the same as Aidan Gwilt got down to make the save..
On the hour Carpenter made a run, passé to Stansfield but the return pass was just behind the player.
At the other end Gwilt made a good save from a Ricky Broderson drive.
Bays continued pressing with Stansfield and Peat missing chances and Peat hitting the crossbar with a drive.
Another lifeline was thrown Wanderers with thirteen minutes remaining after Jones as brought down in the box. Jarrod Young took the ensuing penalty, sending Gwilt the wrong way and bringing Wanderers back into the game.
The final minutes were tense with both sides going for it but the defences held and Bays took the points.
