Our 7th grade second team took part in the Birkenhead United Rep tournament on the 18th August. The first game kicked off against an impressive Fencibles Liverpool side who won 2-0, well done to our boys though as this team went on to beat other pool teams 9-0! An unfortunate run of missed goal shots saw Birkenhead Green take a 2-1 win in the second game. The team really came together in our third pool game winning 2-0 against Albany. Final result was a 3rd in pool and the end of our day.
Even though the results weren't always in our favour, everyone had a great day and it was brilliant to see so much midget talent in action. A big thanks to all our players, parents, helpers and supporters and to Birkenhead United for a fantastic day.
