The YMCA would really appreciate payment of basketball fees for 2009/10 as soon as possible.

The club made a decision some time ago not to burden families with never-ending fundraising requests so the collection of fees is what keeps us running.

We don’t want any players to miss out on playing so if you have having financial difficulties please contact our treasurer Helen Herbert to make an alternative arrangement.

The fees have been kept at the same level for the past five years which is a tribute to the hard-working committee and some very generous people.

Annual fees for a single player is $90 and $150 for families. These fees cover training venues, equipment, team entry fees and a range of other costs associated with running a club such as ours.

 In addition to payment by cash or cheque this year, families have the ability to pay by electronic transfer.  If paying this way please make sure you quote the reference number that is displayed on your invoice.

The club would like all players and coaches to be aware that every time our club forfeits a game due to lack of players it costs us up to $150 of every occasion.  Last financial year the club paid over $1200 in fines which makes a huge hole in our finances.

 If you are not able to play make sure you let your coach know in plenty of time so he or she can organise to get a player up from a lower age group.  Not only does that player get some valuable experience, it saves the club money.
