Swans Gallant But Run Out Of Time

In what proved to be a disappointing result for the Penrith Swans Under 14 side, they were beaten in the Division Grand Final 4-13-37 to 4-7-31 by the Blue Mountains Kanagaroos.  It came to the last kick of the game with the Swans a chance of drawing the game and taking it into extra time, but it just wasn't to be.  Full credit must go to the Blue Mountains side who played committed football throughout the game, continually putting the Swans under pressure.  The team showed their resilience and took advance of some wayward kicking from the 'Roos, working their way back into the game with a late flurry of goals.  It is still a fair achievement for the team, advancing to back to back Grand Finals, but another example of having to put your best game together in the big one.  Well done to all, including the coaching staff Chris and Justin, work hard in the off-season and we hope to three-peat next year for a different result.  And a special farewell to #18 Jasmin Payne, who after two seasons of Grand Finals will have to hang up her guernsey.  Well done on a great career with the Swans Jaz.
