Well it is nearly footy season again and we hope you are all keen to continue playing AFL with the Prospect Hawks in 2016.

Club Coaching Appointments for 2016

Prospect Hawks President Chris Ryan has announced the appointment of a group of very talented and motivated coaches to lead the Prospect Hawks underage teams in the 2016 season.

The Prospect Hawks will field teams in all age groups in the Northern Tasmanian Junior Football Association.more

Hawks AFL Premiership Cups visit Aurora Stadium

The Hawthorn Football Club's 3 premiership cups from the ultra successful 2013, 2014 and 2015 campaigns were on display at Aurora Stadium today.

AFL Tasmanian Sports Trainer of the Year - Keven Mayne

Prospect Hawks sports trainer Keven Mayne has been recognised at the AFL and Elastoplast 'Sports Trainer of the Year' ceremony in Launceston tonight. Keven has been recognised as the NTJFA sports trainer of the year. We look forward to Keven continuing as a sports trainer at the Prospect Hawks in 2016 also.

AFL Tasmanian Coach of the Year - Pacer Markham

Prospect Hawks U13 Coach Pacer Markham has been recognised at the AFL and Worksafe Tasmania 'Coach of the Year' ceremony in Launceston tonight. Pacer has been recognised as the NTJFA coach of the year. We look forward to Pacer continuing as coach of the Hawks U14 team in 2016 also.

Prospect Hawks U13 NTJFA Premiers - 2015

The Prospect Hawks U13s produced their best game for season 2015 when it counted most as they led from the getgo to record a resounding 60 point win over George Town to win the NTJFA U13 Premiership on 13 September at Aurora Stadium. It was a complete team effort with congratulations to Coach, Pacer Markham, and his support team as well as the 21 players who represented the Club.more

Prospect Junior Football Club announced this evening that long-time committee member and coach, Michael Walker, has been awarded life membership of the Club for his conspicuous voluntary service.more

You Are Invited - Hawthorn players to visit Prospect Hawks after winning the 2014 AFL premiership

We need to get a big contingent of players and parents along to Prospect Park this Wednesday 1 October from 9.30am to 10.30am.

We have 8 Hawthorn premiership players coming along to meet our players.

NTJFA Best and Fairest results 2014

Prospect Hawks Junior Football Club had 2 players finish in the top 5 of their respective NTJFA best and fairest counts on Friday 29 August.
U12 player, Liam Markham, won the award jointly with a Longford player. While Brock Young of the U13 team was placed 3rd. Well done to both lads on a great season.more

Kade Kolodjashnij visits Prospect Park

Gold Coast Suns rising star Kade Kolodjashnij returned to his junior club, Prospect Hawks, and met scores of junior players from the Club today. Kade has been a great role model for the players at the Club and returned to say hello and make a presentation of football equipment which has been provided by NAB in recognition of his achievement in being a 'rising star' in his debut season of AFL.more

Meander Valley Mayor's Cup - Prospect Hawks versus Meander Valley Suns

The Prospect Hawks and Meander Valley Suns will play for the inaugural Meander Valley Mayor's Cup in the first meeting between the two newest NTFA Division 2 Clubs this Saturday - 31st May - at Prospect Park.more

Club Merchandise Orders being taken now

We are taking orders all this month for Club walk out jackets and polo shirts in the Prospect Hawks colours with the logo on the left breast. We will place an order at the end of each week in May and then in mid-June. It takes around 3 weeks for the orders to be fulfilled. Orders must be paid in advance and an order form must be completed. The Gold Coast Suns are set to debut No.5 pick Kade Kolodjashnij against Fremantle.

FRESH off a 40-plus disposal performance in the NEAFL, Gold Coast Suns young gun Kade Kolodjashnij is set to make his AFL debut against Fremantle.

The No.5 draft pick is set to be thrown in the deep end when he runs out against Fremantle in Perth on Saturday.more

Club coaches begin training at Prospect Park

Kolodjashnij brothers first draftees from Prospect

Former Prospect Hawks junior player Kade Kolodjashnij became Tasmania's highest AFL draft selection in 17 years last November -- and then had five Tasmanian teammates join him in the big time, including twin brother Jake Kolodjashnij.more

Hawks begin the 2014 campaign in NTJFA

The Prospect Hawks Junior Football Club has commenced registering all players and training is also underway for most teams or will begin shortly. The Club has appointed ex-senior TSL players, Andrew Zammit (Head Coach) and Michael Sinclair (Assistant Coach) to the U15 team in 2014. Appointments have been made in all other age groups also.more
