A near full strength senior side showed plenty of run and attack on the ball in warm and fast conditions against Mount Waverley away from home yesterday. Anthony Bryce remains out with injury and Dean Haydock and Benn Parker are yet to slot in, so the pressure for senior spots remains strong. The ball movement of the Redbacks when transitioning from the backline through the wings and centre clearances was terrific in the fast conditions and demonstrated that the Hills have certainly picked up some much needed pace which was evident in last years grand final loss. The forwards had plenty of the ball with Joffa Byron kicking 6 and new recruit Benn Finin also booting 6 and giving off plenty. Whilst pre-season has been good, it all counts for little unless the Hills can put it all together from the first game next week. Next Saturday 13 April kicks the season off against Parkside at Yarrambat, which is the Redbacks temporary home for the first three home games. Go Hills!
