It was not a profitable trip to Doveton at the weekend. We did not make the most of our opportunities with the wind in the first quarter and took a small lead into quarter time. The second quarter saw the hosts revert to type. Jackson Bolch was knocked unconscious by a cowardly king hit off the ball.
It was the sort of act that would see the perpetrator show the door at a decent club. At this vacuum of social acceptability he will no doubt be feted as some kind of hero and plied with free drinks- probably Jim Beam.
It’s fair to say we lost concentration after this and it wasn’t our best effort.
Better players included Dousty, Gav, Crackers, Monas, Patch and Box Head.
The reserves also would go down to Doveton. In the best were Cam McLeod, Two Dads, Hilly, Deano, Dova and Lukey.
