Season Launch

Season 2014 is only a few weeks away and our lads have been hitting the track hard in preparation.

Our ‘Season Launch’ function has been a terrific function over the past few years and this year’s function promises to be a beauty. Our guest speaker on the night will be former AFL champ David “The Ox” Schwarz who has an enthralling tale to tell.

Schwarz burst onto the AFL scene in 1991 playing an exciting brand of football but was struck down by 3 knee injuries that required reconstructive surgery. He was not deterred by these injuries and showed enormous determination to return to the field and play a pivotal role with his beloved Demons.  Soon after finishing football, Schwarz acknowledged that he was a gambling addict and was crippled by debt. He paid back his creditors and built a bright future in his role as a media personality being a regular on SEN Radio & The Footy Show. He wrote his best-selling autobiography“All Bets Are Off” in 2010 and is a responsible gambling ambassador. David’s speeches are peppered with anecdotes of great highs and crumbling lows and are always entertaining.

Details of the function are shown in the attached flyer.

Bookings are essential – and wives & girlfriends will be most welcome.

To make a booking for this function, please reply to this email message or call me.

I look forward to seeing you at our Season Launch function.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
