Saturday 16th July, what a great for the Rams. We celebrated Auskick in the morning, wins in the football and netball, acknowledging past players and the success of another club $2K draw!
Kicking off at 7pm, the night started off well especially coming off a great afternoon where we saw the reserves notch up their first win of the season defeating Lancefield by 3 goals and our Netballers also seeing success on the court. For the boys, all the players (from the reserves and seniors), coaching and support staff united to sing the song proud. You could of cut the passion in the room with a knife!
We also celebrated the Past Players of the Rams with a special presentation from our hardworking president Smitty during the seniors half time game.
This made the night of the draw even more special. The drinks were plenty, the stories of yesteryear flowed and the excitement of the draw made those in attendance grow in suspense.
The highlight of the night was the draw winner "Victor" who humbled in his win, made the decision to donate a portion of his winnings towards the club able to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This life saving piece of equipment a necessity of any sporting club. This was without a doubt a special act of kindness from this great man!
On behalf of the President Smitty, Senior Coach Gav, a huge thank you to everyone that made the night a success.
Again, if not for the volunteers of the club who were plenty, the day and night would not have been a success.
Go Rams!
