The Club has developed a policy to guide the management of new players to the Club. The Club uses a ‘Wait List’ for each age level and this is overseen by the List Manager. Any players wishing to join the Club will be directed to the List Manager and recorded on the ‘Wait List’.

As part of the membership registration and grading process prior to the beginning of each season, the Coaches/Team Managers and List Manager will review the makeup of each team in each age group and make changes where necessary to ensure team balance.

It is important that parents and players understand that there may be circumstances where players are required to move from one team to another team at the start of a new season.

In the circumstance where an agreement is unable to be reached relating to the inclusion of a player, the List Manager and Committee will have the authority to make a decision in line with the ethos of the Club.

List Management Principles

1. The Club will aim to balance the number of players across the teams in each age group.
2. The optimum number of players per team is 8. Teams can exceed this at the agreement of the Coach and the Team Manager of the team and the List Manager of that age group.
3. Players will be encouraged to play in the grade most appropriate for their skill level and age. Age levels in the U10, U12, U14, U16 and U19 are determined by the birth year of the player. Age levels in the competition change at the end of the winter season.
4. It is recognised that players may wish to play with friends and/or there may be travel/caring arrangements between parents.
5. The Club will aim to enter as many teams as possible into the competition to maximise participation of players.
6. The Club selects players on skills, performance, attitude and fair play. No position is promised or guaranteed to any player.
7. There is a possibility that individual or groups of players will be moved from one team to another team in some circumstances if deemed to be appropriate by the List Manager.
