Nomad's officials have expressed regret with regard to the decision and Inverell Saints coach Dick Gleeson has also expressed disappointment. The enforced break this weekend will give a couple of the Saints players who have been carrying injuries a chance to be fully fit for the clash against the cats in Muswellbrook next Saturday. The Saints are expected to field a full strength and rested team for the clubs biggest game of the season.
In other games this weekend The Tamworth Roos host the Muswellbrook Cats in what should be a one-sided match. The Roos will need a major turn around in form to trouble The Cats who have proven they are a force in this competition even without their now departed star forward Ryan McEvoy. The Roos were slow to start against the Saints last week and if they start in the same vain this weekend they will suffer another big loss.
The closest match of the round will be the local derby between the Gunnedah Bulldogs and the Narrabri Eagles in Gunnedah. The Bulldogs are hard to beat at home and they are favourites to win what should be a close game.
Disko's winners: The Cats and The Bulldogs.
