ONE SIDED BUT CREDIT TO THE GIANTS
Even though it was cold throughout the day, the ground surface and weather was quite good. It allowed the senior side to play some attractive football. The score line was obviously one sided throughout the game, but credit to the Giants, they kept running out the game right until the end. Sides with higher ladder positions can often find it difficult to motivate themselves to play four disciplines quarters against teams that are lower on the ladder. However, our team seemed to be driven by their want for increased percentage and favourable feedback from GPS data trackers. It was impressive to see players from each line working really hard to play with selfless, predictable habits rather than letting poor habits creeping into the team. The main obstacle to overcome was the excellent short passing skills that the Korumburra backline displayed as they kept the ball in possession and slowed down our opportunities to score. Our team can now look forward to a break before they step up another notch for their run into the final month of the season.

HARD FOUGHT WIN
The Reserves ground out a hard fought win against a determined Korumburra side on Saturday in trying conditions. In which would not have been a spectacle to watch was hard fought contested football played in good spirits. The boys must continue to get to training and work hard on improving.

POSITIVE FROM THE ONSET
We planned for a tough game against the Burra as we always know its a going to be a contest, especially at their home ground. The emphasis this week was hard, contested footy and to create turnovers in our favour. The boys mindset was positive from the onset and controlled the match from the first bounce. Once again we made a few positional changes to keep our side flexible, in order to combat whatever comes our way. Our run and carry from our midfield and half backs, helped to generate plenty of forward entries.
Best Players: O. Toussaint, L. Scott, L. Nunn, L. Paxton, A. Toussaint
