Last Saturday we played Moroolbark at Mooroolbark in the Reserves and Seniors. The Seniors were fortunate to wear the Anzac Round Jumpers. A BIG Thank you to RSL Victoria and TLA - Puma for organising this intiative.

We have two milestones on Saturday. Congratulations to Matt Wierzbicki on his 50th game. Matt Started in 2008 in the U 14's. He was a member of the U 19 2011 Premiership team and made his senior debut in 2013. Well done Wizza!

There has been a change to the U 19 Div 2 fixture. Two clubs aren’t fielding teams – Mitcham and Mooroolbark and Ferntree Gully have two teams and one of them is playing in Div 2.

The Labour day long weekend saw us travel to sunny Noosa for a game aginst the Noosa Tigers. Not only did we have to battle the heat, some sickness and an injury early to Jake Clements (shoulder) which saw us down to 1 on the bench for a short time . We had to contend with a really well prepared Noosa who came to play.

On Saturday we saw another strong hit out by the boys. it was a chance for Coach Sean Millane to give a large number of young players the oppurtunity to play against bigger bodied players from Albion FC. At one stage the Lilydale team did let Albion back in , but they were reminded by the coaching staff that football is for four quarters not 2 or 3.

Saturdays Practice Matches against Bunyip saw the U19's win 17.12 to 2.1, the Ressies won by 70 points and unfortunately a Bunyip player suffered a serious leg injury in the Senior game and it got called off in the last quarter, we were leading by a couple of goals.
