New Constitution Approved by CAV


The club has now received advice that the new constitution has been formally reviewed and approved by Consumer Affairs Victoria.  The new rules have become effective as from July 8th, 2013.

Draft Constitution Adopted

At the Special General Meeting of the OFCJFC held on June 23rd 2013, the members of the club voted to adopt the proposed new constitution as had been prepared and published by the committee. The new set of rules will now be forwarded to the responsible State Government body (Consumer Affairs Victoria) for formal review and approval. Once approved by CAV, the new constitution will come into effect.


All going well, the club expects that CAV approval will be received in time for this year’s AGM, expected to be held in the August / September period (date tba).


Members will be kept advised of progress and any other news in relation to this process through this website.

Notice of Special General Meeting - June 23rd, 2013

All members of the Olinda-Ferny Creek Junior Football Club Inc. (OFCJFC) are advised that a Special General Meeting of the OFCJFC will be held at the clubrooms, Coonara Road Olinda, at 5.00pm, Sunday 23rd June, 2013.



To consider and adopt a new club constitution.


Notice of Special Resolution:

The following Special Resolution will be put to the meeting:-


“That the club adopts a new constitution, based upon the revised Model Rules as specified in the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 and Associations Incorporation Reform Regulations 2012, with appropriate additions and modifications as proposed and agreed at this meeting.”

As previously advised to club members, following recent legislative changes introduced by the state government in November 2012, the club is now proposing to update its constitution to better suit our current structures and practices


In accordance with the relevant legislation and existing club rules, changes to the club’s constitution require the passing of a Special Resolution at a Special General Meeting of the club by a majority of at least 75% of the members voting at the meeting. No proxies are allowed, all votes must be cast in person.


A proposed new constitution has been drafted by the committee and is available for review and comment by members. A copy of the proposed new constitution may be downloaded from the club’s website ( A copy of the proposed new constitution may also be obtained by contacting the Secretary.


All members are requested to review the draft new constitution and to attend and participate in this important meeting.
