Refunds will be assessed by the Committee on a case-by-case basis. An email to your applicable Team Manager/Coach, as well as the SBOCBC List Manager (details can be found in Contacts tab) will need to be provided, outlining the circumstance and reasons the refund has been requested.  This will then be forwarded to the SBOCBC Committe for review. Please note that any refunds will incur a $10 administration fee.

The membership fee covers the following costs incurred by the Club;

  • Keilor Basketball Association fees for Team Registration and Player Insurance;
  • Keilor Basketball Association game day scoresheet fees, including all finals games;
  • Keilor Basketball Association game day door entry fees - may include finals games;
  • St Bernard's Sports Board fees for capital works and improvements;
  • Hire of training venues and provision of basketballs and other equipment for Coaches;
  • Presentation Day and end of season awards for players; and
  • Administration costs incurred by the Club, including GST and the associated obligations.

No child is allowed to train with a team or take to the court to play unless they have completed their registration and have paid their membership fee. Insurance is only provided when both of these conditions have been met.

The Registration Officer submits team lists to the KBAJ via the online SportsTG application. Players who are not part of the initial team list supplied to the KBAJ (i.e. players whose names are not pre-printed on the front of the scoresheet) MUST complete all the details in the ‘New Player Registration’ area on the back of the scoresheet when they play their first game and also contact the SBOCBC Registration Officer immediately.

Hardship Assistance

There are circumstances where some children may not consider playing basketball due to financial hardship. For families experiencing financial hardship contact can be made directly with the President or Vice President where support may be provided to the child/children concerned. This support may take the form of payment of uniform, membership registration and entrance fee as required. Confidentiality will be strictly maintained.
