Home Game we need YOUR help
Home Games are really busy days for our club and it is how we make most of our money. So we will need lots of helpers in the Canteen and around the Grounds even if it is only for 1/2 hour, it would be greatly appreciated. Tips on how you can help
If your game is first see if you can arrive a bit earlier and help set up the fields
Arrive early for your game and help in the canteen before the action starts or after the game so your child can have a play with their team mates.
Put rubbish in the bin that you see lying around after your game.
See Craig our President or Vicki in the Canteen if you don't know what you can do but would like to help and they will happily find you a job
ZERO TOLERANCE TO BULLYING
After an unfortunate incident over Facebook Bilambil Junior Jets as a club would like to advise everyone that we have zero tolerance to bullying of any kind. Please speak to your children about this, here are some web links with some really good information about cyberbullying.http://www.lawstuff.org.au/sa_law/topics/bullying/cyber-bullyinghttp://www.cybersmart.gov.au/Teens.aspxhttp://www.youthbeyondblue.com/factsheets-and-info/fact-sheet-20-bullying/http://bullyingnoway.gov.au/http://www.headspace.org.au/is-it-just-me/find-information/bullying
I want to make it perfectly clear that there is a set protocol for anyone who has an issue that they feel is important enough and needs addressing.
For any parent, relative or supporter that has an issue of a serious nature. The first step is to bring it this up with the team coach and/or manager. It is then up to them to resolve the issue. If you are not satisfied with their response then you can take your complaint to the next step where you inform me as president of the club. The president will then investigate the issue or complaint and report back.
If for some reason you are still not happy with the result you may send a letter to the Group 18 Committee for them to make comment.
Step 1 – Coach/Manager
Step 2 – Club President
Step 3 – Group 18 committee
Under no circumstances is a parent, relative or supporter to take it upon themselves to attempt to resolve the issue. At no time at training or on game day, are they to front an individual, group of boys or team about an issue or concern to them.
The only time that a team, group of boys or individual is to be approached is upon invitation of the coach/manager and is only for checking on the welfare of a player, group or team.
It is important that we continue to have positive, fun and safe atmosphere for the boys to continue to learn their rugby league skills. These protocols are put in place for this purpose and must be adhered to.
Finally social media is also not the place for issues to be resolved or commented on, please be careful when using these avenues.
Let’s all stay positive and enjoy our sport.
Chris Fitz (Club President)
