2016 AAMI U14 and 15 Country Championships Kick-Off This Weekend
The best young Rugby League players from across Regional New South Wales will come together this weekend in Forster-Tuncurry and Wagga Wagga for the Northern and Southern Zone AAMI U14/15 Country Championships.
Over 800 players will take the field across the weekend with players representing their respective groups at Forster’s Harry Elliott Oval and Wagga Wagga’s Paramore Park, Equex Centre.
The winning sides will take part in the AAMI U14/15 Country Championship Finals, which will be played at Cessnock Sportsground on Saturday, 2nd July.
Country Rugby League CEO Terry Quinn believes the Championships are a great way to see the future of the game on display.
“The U14/15s Country Championships are one of the biggest events on the CRL calendar and provide a wonderful opportunity to see some of the future stars of our game,” said Quinn.
“The Championships provide many young players with their first taste of Representative Rugby League and the first step in what we hope will be a long and fruitful career in the game.”
Over 60 games will be played across the weekend with games kicking off at 9am in both Forster-Tuncurry and Wagga Wagga on both Saturday and Sunday.
