Berry Magpies ready to swoop

BERRY have gained pre-season confidence after the annual Blaine Rosz memorial game.
Mittagong won the contest, but Magpies fullback Josh Coulter was encouraged the team’s performance during the periods they used their full strength lineup.
Despite losing six tries to four, the Magpies know there are plenty of positives to take from the game moving forward.
“In terms of the first grade boys, the boys dominated when they were on the pitch, winning 20-4,” Coulter said.
“After a long pre-season, it was good to get the rust out of the system and get some match practice.”
Coulter was especially impressed with some of the new players.
“I thought Mick and Jake Graham both had good hit-outs, in their first game for the club,” he said.
“Hooker Blake Dryden and halfback Josh Ingold also impressed me.”
The Magpies have another trial at Cootamundra, on March 19.
