Group 6 has been asked to submit a Strategy to develop a Group 6 Girls League Tag Competition in the Juniors, and a Women’s League Tag Competition in the Seniors.

At a Regional level, Group 6 CRL has been asked to nominate a Group 6 Women’s Delegate to attend the Regional Meetings and Group 6 CRL has nominated Kim Teale for the role, which Kim has kindly accepted. Kim already attends the regional meetings as the Referee Delegate which will now give her a dual role at the Greater Southern Regional Meetings.

We will be calling on Junior clubs to seek interest for players in the U10, U12, U14, & U16 age groups to hopefully field teams in the 2016 season, which is to be confirmed at team nomination time in March 2016.

We have asked the NRL Development Officers to promote the Competitions in our Schools, and they are developing a program which we hope will help with player recruitment.

In the Seniors we will be calling on Senior Clubs to Nominate teams asap, so that we can organise a preseason competition. The CRL has announced an exciting new pathway for Women’s League Tag players, which will mean when our Group 6 Senior Team plays Group 16 on 23rd April 2016 in Batemans Bay, Group 6 is expected to field a Group 6 Women’s Representative Team to play as well. So we are hoping we can select a Group 6 Women’s Team from our preseason, as well as their Coaching Staff, to represent Group 6 and to have our Competition start in May 2016.

Some Senior Clubs have announced they will be fielding teams next season and we would like to promote their team as much as possible, so please send the details on your team announcements so we can add them on Facebook.

If some clubs are not interested in starting a Women’s Team, if necessary we can look at affiliating a Women’s Club to accommodate teams if we need to, but hopefully our goal is that all our clubs field teams, under their Brand eventually.

In other Leagues, their experience has shown that the new ladies players coming into the clubs have only brought along more volunteers, sponsors, and committee members.

We are releasing our Strategic Plan, listing the Mission, our Strategy, and our Goals and Objectives in kick starting our new 2016 Competitions.

Each team is to have their own accredited Coaching Staff, and will be required to have their own set of CRL Tags, which can be ordered from the CRL Website.
