2016 EOIs CRL Representative Program
In 1934, NSW Country Rugby League was given autonomy to conduct and oversee the growth of Rugby League in Regional NSW.
This position has been reaffirmed by engaging in a participation agreement with the Australian Rugby League Commission.
As the peak body in Regional NSW, Country Rugby League oversees the 20 member Group/Divisions over 6 Regions, Referees and Junior Rugby League, plus an army of volunteers who ensure the game continues to flourish.
The Country Rugby League offers defined pathways for approximately 54,000 registered players through Academies as well as Country 16s, 18s, Bulls and Firsts Representative teams.
As part of that pathway the Country Rugby League is inviting Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions associated with the 2016 Representative Football teams:
- Country Firsts Coach
- Country Firsts Sports Trainers
- Country Senior (Firsts and Bulls) Selectors
- Country U18s Coach
- Country 18s Sports Trainers
- Country U18s Selectors
- Country U16s Coach
- Country 16s Sports Trainers
- Country U16s Selectors
- Referees Appointments Board
To be considered for a role as Coach of a Country team you will hold as a minimum a current NRL Senior Club Coach Rugby League Coaching Accreditation with demonstrated experience in coaching.
To be considered for a role as a Sports Trainer of a Country team you will hold as a minimum a current NRL Sports Trainer Rugby League Sports Trainers Accreditation with demonstrated experience in Sports Training.
To be considered for a role as a Country Selector you will have a demonstrated ability in identifying talented rugby league players for inclusion in CRL’s representative teams.
To be considered for a role as a member of the Referees Appointments Board you will be an accredited and registered referee and have a demonstrated ability in selecting referees to referee Country Rugby league Championship games.
All roles require the candidate to be able to attend matches as and when directed including Group and Regional trial matches. Any role associated with an Under 16s or Under 18s team requires the candidate to have been cleared by the Office of the Children’s Guardian and possess a current Working With Children Check number.
