Future Coaches Shine at Alexandria Park Community School

Throughout Term 3, Alexandria Park Community School participated in the Beyond the Goal Post program. 40 secondary school students took part in the program, coaching the local primary school students the NRL flagship program “Backyard League”. The students also completed their level one referee accreditation which now allows them to referee school or weekend competitions.

The students took a lot out of the program and their efforts to not only coach the primary students but to conduct themselves and teach the children a new sport was outstanding. There were many students who really wanted to hopefully become a coach or referee in the future with our great game. Well done to all students involved!

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand.
