A GREAT day of Touch Football in South Sydney

On Tuesday the 9th August the Sydney Metro Game Development team, in conjunction with NSW Touch Football ran a gala day at Rowland Park, Daceyville for all primary catholic schools in the Eastern Region. Nearly 400 students in years 5 and 6 attended with 11 fields being used on the day.

Prior to the day, Paul McNicholas (South Sydney Development Officer) and Blake Cavallaro (Roosters Development Officer) trained up students from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College, Kensington and Champagnat College, Pagewood to run an hour session of Backyard League with the students. Both the high school and primary students enjoyed learning different skills and drills before taking part in their touch games.

The High school students refereed the touch football competition and all did a fantastic job. Thank you to all schools who participated on the day, it was great to see all students displaying excellent sportsmanship and teamwork.
