A HUGE Day for Rugby League in the Manly District!

It was a very successful day at Nolan Reserve for the Manly Warringah Rugby League All Schools Carnival with seven fields running and over 700 students taking part. It was a day full of fun and nothing but rugby league.

With the weather not looking too promising and only a few gaps for the sun to peak through, it did not faze the excited and enthusiastic students ready to take part in the day. With students participating in under 9s, under 10s, under 11’s and the open (Primary) competitions throughout the day.

Teachers were briefed at 9:10am sharp to gain a valuable sense of what to expect from the day including a total of 12 rounds, 20 minute games, conversion to be kicked right in front of the upright posts on a tee and a quick turn around of teams. This allowed the day to run very smoothly with all games running on time.

With the sun coming out for a majority of the day the children were having a great time. With fast paced games and a fierce competition, students were in for a big day. Students were representing their primary school, in an attempt to make the finals and be the overall winner of the day for their School.

The day finishing off with a presentation which effectively wrapped up the day. The students who made the final/s and participated in the day were recognised and congratulated by fellow teammates and schools.

Congratulations to all students involved in particular to the winners of the opens, Wheeler Heights for winning their first grand final at the Manly Warringah all schools Carnival.

We hope all students, teachers and supportive parents who came on to cheer their children on had a terrific day! Results are below.
