STATE OF MIND IN BRISBANE

The NRL Community has been using its voice, in consultation with Australia's leading mental health experts, to make a difference to a big issue that impacts our game and our communities – mental illness.

Developed in partnership with LifelineKids Helplineheadspace and the Black Dog Institute, the constant drivers of the program are to;

  • Reduce the stigma around mental ill health within the club and community
  • Increase mental health literacy across grassroots Rugby League clubs.
  • Stimulate help seeking behaviours of club members and community.
  • Each club will take ownership of mental health awareness at the workshop conclusion.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
