COMMITMENT EQUALS OPPORTUNITY

Under 16 players who were chosen as part of the original Brisbane squad participating in the SEQ U16 Pre-Season Challenge, and not selected for a team spot, have been offered a representative game against an U16 Toowoomba side this weekend.

Due to the highly contested Brisbane U16 representative team spots, several players haven’t yet had the opportunity to display their skills in front of selectors.  The additional one-off game recognises the nine weeks of fortitude shown in committed training without playing a game, and provides the opportunity for players to prove their worth for selection on the Southeast Queensland team to play in the Queensland State Carnival in July 2018, to be hosted in Mackay.

Round 4

Saturday 24 March at Emerson Park, Bega Street, Grange:

Brisbane v Toowoomba                   1pm

Ipswich v Gold Coast Yellow            2pm

Brisbane Red v Gold Coast Yellow    3pm

Brisbane Blue v Brisbane Grey        4pm
